last Thursday Feb.19,2009, the class of 2 st Joan went for learning journey. some of us didn't come though including me,Steph,Eunice and so on we really want to come though :(.But i asked my friend, Aarthi to do a write up about the learning journey. so this is her write up...

during the visit to the "FORD FACTORY", there were many things that we enjoyed. we also learnt new things. first, we visited the museum. the museum had guns, records and many more old items that we used during the olden times. we were very curious to know more about them. so, for that there were also many information. at the museum, we went to watch a short clip which was about 25 minutes. there were some people who told us about the the war between Singapore and japan. the clip was very sentimental. some things that took place there was that the army of japan actually punished the Singaporeans by cutting off their hands and by many cruel activities. then we were given a worksheet to fill up. the visit to the museum was a memorable one.

after going to the museum, we then went to a cemetery. it contains the tombs of people who died for Singapore. it was very touching to see that many died for the freedom of Singapore. some information that the instructor gave us was that there were many Indians who died for Singapore than the others. from many other countries, there were also people coming to protect Singapore. we went to a particular place at the cemetery where there were many many names of the people who died for Singapore. there were more than 75,000 names. we were very surprised that the Indians also came to Singapore to protect her. we took photos of the tombs and the other places. from the top of the cemetery, it was really a very good scenery to watch. it was really touching and good experience visiting the cemetery.
